One of the founders (the others were Nikola Tesla, Galileo Ferraris and Jonas Wenström) of polyphase electrical systems, he developed the three-phase electrical generator and a three-phase electrical motor () and studied star and delta connections.
Biography of mahatma gandhi The associated asynchronous motor invented by him was the first functional solution. The first AC 3 phase synchronous generator went into operation in October To a various sort of measuring means has successfully applied a principle of the engine with rotating magnet field September 1 it has arrived in the Riga polytechnical institute, but has been excluded for participation in political performances of students. The triumph of the three-phase system was displayed in Europe at the International Electro-Technical Exhibition of , where Dolivo-Dobrovolsky used this system to transmit electric power at the distance of km with 75% efficiency. In he also created a three-phase transformer and short-circuited (squirrel-cage) induction motor.
