Cindy Coloma (also Cindy McCormick and Cindy Martinusen) was raised in the small town of Cottonwood in Northern California where she loved to explore the countryside, read books while her pet rabbit played in the fields, build hideouts in trees or in the rafters of the barn, and go swimming in creeks and lakes to escape the long hot summers.
Her parents taught her the value of hard work, importance of family, and imparted a love for campfires and roads less traveled. Stories have always brought meaning and wonder to her life.
Cindy now calls the Pacific Northwest home with its perfect blend of pines, sea, and weather inspires her daily.
A national best-selling author, Cindy has written 12 novels including: Beautiful ( Christy Award Finalist for YA and Revolve YA Tour Book of the Year); The Salt Garden( Library Journal’s Best Genre Books); Song of the Brokenhearted(co-author Sheila Walsh) ( ECPA bestseller); Orchid House ( ECPA bestseller); and Winter Passing ( Christy Award Finalist and Romantic Times Reader’s Choice Finalist).

Cindy also co-wrote Bud DeYoung’s Its a Wild LIfe: How My Life Became a Zoo (June Medallion Press) about his exotic zoo and animal rescue, and his Nat Geo Wild television program.
Cindy developed and wrote the nonfiction book Renting Lacy: A Story of America’s Prostituted Children (co-authored with former Congresswoman Linda Smith). She has written over published articles and short stories.
As a speaker, faculty member, or writing coach, Cindy had spoken at the World Book Fair in Frankfurt, Germany; Simpson University Faculty Retreat; Litt-World international conference in Tagaytay, Philippines, and many others.
While living in California, Cindy co-led a writers group for almost 18 years.
With five children ranging from toddlers to adults, Cindys life is always full of laughter, joy, wonders to discover, and toys to trip over. She admits an addiction to books and films, is enthralled by most any subject, has more travel dreams than humanly possible (undersea adventures and the moon included), but finds that home truly is best of all.
